Karen enjoys her role at Synectic, where she has the opportunity to combine her extensive accounting and human resource management skills. In her varied role, she is responsible for the internal accounting for the practice, assists the partners with the human resource management of the Synectic team, provides bookkeeping services to Synectic clients and manages the administration team.
Having completed an Advanced Diploma of Accounting in 2001, she joined our team in March 2007. Whilst on maternity leave with her second child last year Karen was able to complete her Bachelor of Business (Human Resource Management).
Karen has gathered her experience over 21 years in various industries, from aged care to hospitality, and also operated her own small business for 7 years providing accounting and secretarial services.
Karen has spent several years living and working in Sydney and Perth, returning to Tasmania with her husband in 2006. With a love of family and sport, Karen brings energy and enthusiasm to ensuring the smooth running of our office.
