Where we started…

Synectic was formed from the restructure of Atkinson Gibson in 2004 and traces its origins in Tasmania to 1979. Gareth Atkins (Director) started his career with us as a trainee accountant at Atkinson Gibson, in 1992. Ben Coull (Director) joined us in 2013, bringing with him over 20 years of experience with a well-established accounting firm in the Northern Tasmanian region.

Proudly Tasmanian, Synectic has its roots in the traditions of the accounting profession handed down through its long history. However, as a modern and growing firm, we continually embrace innovation with an inspired and creative team. Our industry has seen huge changes over the last two decades, as have the needs and expectations of our clients and staff. The Synectic team reflect these changes in the quality and range of our services, the relationships we maintain with our clients, staff and community and our investment in industry leading work practices and technology.
