Synectic wish to congratulate Chloe Smith, the 2017 University of Tasmania (UTas) recipient of the Synectic “Scholarship in Business”.
The annual scholarship is made available to a student entering the second year of an undergraduate Business degree. In recognition of the long heritage of our firm in the Devonport region the student must originate from North-West Tasmania, however may be attending any of the UTas campuses.
In addition to a financial award, Synectic offer two weeks paid work experience over the summer break between the recipient’s second and third year of the course. This experience will offer Chloe a great opportunity to put some of her learning into practice under the mentorship of our experienced accountants.
Organised, creative, friendly and driven to consciously and intentionally deliver outcomes to a high professional standard, Chloe is a worthy recipient of the scholarship. A high academic achiever, she is majoring in accounting and aspires to provide an excellent professional service, assisting individuals and their businesses to reach their highest potential. In addition to her studies, Chloe is active in the workforce as a contributing sports journalist for her local newspaper, The Advocate. She is also involved in voluntary youth group leading.
